The children in the MONA Lisy Art classes are taught to paint from their imagination instead of an instructional method. Painting from their imagination trains the children to picture ideas within their minds and be more creative. As they continue painting they learn about form, technique and combining color. Children have large and vivid imaginations that tend to disappear as they grow into adults. In school children are taught to follow instructions about how to write, how to calculate mathematics and the basics of science which is very important. However, they should also continue using their imaginations while growing which helps them to picture and figure those instructions in their minds and invent new possibilities. Below are pictures of the children's paintings that show their progression in form, technique, color and inventing new ideas.
